Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre is proud to open its 2012-13 season with a new original play by local author Mat Kelly, The Horribly Horrifying Fun House of Death.

Carrie McNabb, a regular both onstage and off at Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre, brings The Horribly Horrifying Fun House of Death to the KWLT as her second directing experience with the company. Carrie says that she believed the show would be a great fit for the company. "It all takes place in the back room of a fun house which is not unlike KWLT's own green room." She was also attracted to the balance across the roles. "It's really nice to be able to direct a show that has a well balanced cast where there are no small parts. I really like having a show with a good ensemble cast and a comedic element to it."
Playwright Mat Kelly grew up outside of Ottawa and studied drama at the University of Windsor. He writes a column for the-back-row.com and is a co-producer with Shadow Puppet Theatre here in Kitchener. His past work in the local community theatre scene involves scenic art for a number of shows including KWLT's The Mousetrap in 2010 and a staged reading of his "The Waffle King Murders" in conjunction with TenBareToes as a benefit for KW's Out of the Cold shelter program.
For 75 years, KWLT has delivered performances that delight, inspire, amaze, and move our audiences. It is a place for people to try theatre in an amateur format and learn & grow as a community. We invite you to cheer on our established players and welcome our new faces.
